June Copic Marker Club

There is still space available to attend the June Copic marker class.  This month's stamp set is the fun and funky Sushi Bowl from Stampendous.  Our technique this month will focus on coloring glass/water and we will be using the Copic Marker Air Brush System on one of the cards!   Please bring scissors, adhesive and Copic markers.

Cancellations must be made by calling the store 72 hours before class or students will be charged for the class kit.  No shows will be charged full price of the class.

BG000, YR07, YR15, YG03, Clear Spica glitter pen   June 27, 1-3pm or 3-5pm Note:  I wish you could see how cute and glittery the fish fins are.  The Spica gel pens looks awesome with this stamp!

Water Balloon Fight

We always have a water balloon fight for the kids on the last day of school. We have been doing it for 6 years now and the kids just love it. Teri B and I usually start filling balloons in the morning and don't stop until we run out.

This year we filled up about 750 balloons.  Whew! 

Every year it rains on our party, but the kids don't mind....they are getting wet anyway.  They have a great time pelting each other with balloons.....which can sometimes cause pain and leave a mark.  Right Teri?

Of course, Teri B cannot be trusted with the hose.

I managed to stay dry this year.  Using the baby as a human shield helped.

The kids trickle home starting with the junior high bus then the high school bus, middle school is next and finally Griffin arrives home on the grade school bus.  Because he is last, we try to save a bucket of balloons for him.

After the balloons were all gone and the kids picked up the broken debris, they all jumped in the pool with their clothes on.  It is a great way to celebrate the beginning of summer vacation.

Birthday Banner

I made this birthday banner for a very special little lady.  I used We R Memory Keepers new Old Glory line.  All other products came from my personal stash.  The fringe across the top is remnants of a sheet I used to line some draperies.  I tore it in strips, sewed one on top of the other and cut the fringe.  I then soaked it in coffee to give it a "tea stained" effect so it would match the paper.  I'm so pleased with the way it turned out.  Sorry the photos are so bad!

Pizazz It! June Kit

Pizazz It! Scrapbooks June kits are now in the store.  There are only about 10 extra kits available for non kit club members.  Kits are $20 each and include step by step directions for sample layouts.  If you become a kit club member you will be guaranteed a kit before they are sold out and will save 10% on  your kit.

This months kit features a very summery line from Fancy Pants called Rusted Sun.  In addition to the 6 sheets of double sided pattern paper and 5 sheets of cardstock, there is an alphabet, die cut stickers, yummy ball fringe ribbon, flowers and bling!  It is such a fun and versatile kit.

Little Red Scrapbook June Kit

I am thrilled to work with this kit.  My Mind's Eye has the best quality paper and Sara and Rachel picked some fabulous embellies to go with this kit.  Did you notice the Glimmer Mist?  Woo-hoo!  Also, I'd like to mention that MME is now printing on both sides of their die cut papers.  I love love love that!  Be sure to check out the add on embellie kit.  There is a Basic Grey mini album in it.  Fabulous!!   Be sure to snag this kit fast because I predict it will be sold out!

Bad Bad Blogger

Oh my!  I have been a terrible blogger lately.  My laptop died for the umpteenth time (have I mentioned recently Gateway sucks) and I decided not to send it off AGAIN for repair.  I seized the boys laptop and now in the process of loading all my software on it.  Then I have to transfer my hard drive over.  Ugh!  Such a pain.  At least I won't have to keep emailing myself stuff so I can print it off on the desk top computer.

So, the next couple of days I will be getting everything caught up and post Little Red Scrapbooks June Kit, Pizazz Its June kit and Copic Marker Club June cards.  Stay tuned......
