KOTM Free Crop!!

Back by request is a KOTM Crop scheduled for Saturday, October 9th, 12-8pm.  Bring all your unfinished kits (or anything else you want to work on) along with the printed instructions and assemble them with a great group of people.  We had a wonderful time during the last crop.  Several of the ladies mentioned bringing a snack to share so I’ll be bringing some goodies!  This is a FREE event for KOTM members!

I hope to see you there!

Pizazz It! October Kits

Pizazz It! Scrapbooks monthly kits will be available for pick up in the store on Saturday.  This kit was so much fun to work with.  The SEI papers are excellent quality and I love the foil touches in each of the paper.  With this kit you get a full package of metal accents and a full package of die cut accents in addition to a wonderful chipboard alphabet from My Mind's Eye.

Here are a few sneak peaks.  Completed projects are on display at Pizazz It! Scrapbooks.

LRS September Kit and Sneak Peaks

The September kit at Little Red Scrapbook features American Craft Dear Lizzy "Enchanted" collection. This was such a fun and springy kit to work with.  Perfect for scrapping those summer photos we are just now getting around to printing.

And check out the embellishment add on kit.  Glimmer Mist, Maya Road chipboard and those fabulous Jenni Bowlin vintage buttons.  Yum-Oh!

Here are a couple of sneak peaks I made with this kit.  Full layouts will be posted shortly.

September Copic Marker Club

Hey all you Copic marker fans!  Here are this month's cards.  We will be using the fabulous Stampendous Fresh Fruit set we used waaaaay back in April.  This month we will be focusing on the citrus fruits.  Please note the class is Sunday, September 26 from 1-3pm only.  There will not be a 3-5pm class this month.

Markers needed for this class:  YR02, YR04, YR07, YG03, YG91, Y21

Optional pens/markers you might want to bring are: Uniball Signo white gel pen, Spica clear glitter pen, Copic medium brown marker (I used E37)

Please be sure to bring adhesive, pop dots and scissors.  Shoot me an email if you have any questions!!  I look forward to seeing everyone in class.

The "Orange you sweet!" card was designed by the talented Kimberly Crawford.  I loved it so much I wanted to incorporate for this class.

I normally don't prep the inside of cards for classes, however, I really wanted to do something special for this card.  I love how the negative punched swirls and flowers from the front of the card really set off the sentiment.  Class participants will get both "....make lemonade!" and (my personal favorite) "...make a lemon drop martini!" sentiments.

September Pizazz It! Scrapbook Kits

Our kit of the month features the lovely papers from Scribble Scrabble.  These papers have a great weight to them and a bit of a vintage feel.  Also in this kit you get a very special item...a Copic marker!!!  I used this marker on my layouts in several ways:  color twine, clear gems, flowers, alphabets and made spatters.  They are so versatile!  Copic makers are different than typical water based makers, which you probably already have at home, in the following ways:

- Alcohol based ink so you can color non-porous materials

- Guaranteed for 3 years
- Can be stored vertically or horizontally
- Nibs are made to last, but are replaceable if needed
- The company has been around for 25 years and they never change the formula of their colors
- Over 334 colors to choose from
- Alcohol based ink allows blending and layering colors but won't pill or tear paper

Because they are refillable at only $1.50, this will be the last marker you will ever have to buy.  I am totally hooked on them!

OK, enough about the markers, lets get on to the kit.  Here is the kit:

And here are some sneak peeks.

Completed layouts can be viewed in the store.  There were only a few extra kits made so if you missed out be sure to sign up to be a member of the Kit of the Month to be guaranteed a kit.

Getting back to reality!

I'm back from my blog sabbatical.  August was a crazy month for me with 4 out of town trips and prepping for the start of school.  Also, I'm sorry to say we had to put down our beloved 14 year old dog, Kobe.  Needless to say, it was a month of madness.  The school year brings schedules and I function sooooo much better on a schedule.

I wanted to post the cards I made for the last Copic Monthly Maker Club at Pizazz It! Scrapbooks.  This month we focused on skin tones and used an adorable stamp called Nikki's Birdie from Inky Impressions.  I really wish I would have colored her bird red....oh well, next time!
